About Me.

I’m Will, the founder and lead tutor at Mathsquared. As a graduate in Physics with Theoretical Physics from the University of Manchester, I’ve always had a deep passion for mathematics and problem-solving. I’ve been where today’s GCSE and A-level students are, and I understand how challenging maths can seem at times. That’s why I founded Mathsquared—to help students overcome their struggles with tailored, one-on-one support and practical guidance. With years of tutoring experience, I’ve seen first-hand how personalised teaching can transform a student’s confidence and ability in maths, and I’m dedicated to helping every learner I work with succeed. Whether you're aiming to master challenging topics or simply boost your grades, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

My Education History

2015-2018

GCSEs
8, 8 - Maths, Physics
Thomas Alleyne's High School

My passion for maths grew during GCSEs, thanks to an incredible teacher who helped me build confidence and master challenging concepts. Now, I aim to provide the same support to help students excel in their own journeys.

2018-2020

A-Levels
A*, A, A - Maths, Further Maths, Physics
Thomas Alleyne's High School Sixth Form

During my A-Levels, I honed my mathematical skills and tackled advanced topics in both Maths and Further Maths. These challenging courses fueled my passion for problem-solving, laying the groundwork for my degree in Physics.

2020-2023

Bachelor's Degree
2nd class BSc(Hons) - Physics with Theoretical Physics
The University of Manchester

Earning my BSc (Hons) in Physics with Theoretical Physics allowed me to dive deep into advanced mathematical theories and real-world applications. This journey strengthened my passion for teaching maths, driving me to help others master challenging concepts.

2023-present

ACA Qualification
ICAEW

Upon finishing my degree, I began working as a trainee accountant. I fit into the job really well, as it enabled me to use my analysis and problem solving skills from my academic background whilst working with local people and businesses, in an every day setting.
